Westorian Government

The Imperial Federation of Westoria is a federation comprising two semi-autonomous commonwealths: Libertas and Eldaria. Each commonwealth has its own legislature and judiciary, granting them significant self-governance. Together, they form the united federation under the rule of the Emperor or Empress, who serves as the head of state and oversees the entire government.

Westoria's parliament consists of two houses:

  • House of Nobles (Upper House): Members are nobles selected directly by the Emperor.
  • House of Commons (Lower House): Members are elected representatives chosen by the people.

For legislation to take effect, it must be passed by both houses and approved by the Chancellor. The Chancellor has the power to veto legislation, but a two-thirds majority in both houses can override this veto.

The Chancellor is chosen through a democratic process, with all Westorian citizens participating in a popular vote.

Imperial Treasury

The Imperial Treasury of Westoria is responsible for managing the Fueria, the nation's sole legal currency. Its duties encompass the following:

  1. Issuance and Regulation: Minting and distributing Fueria in both physical (precious metals) and digital forms, ensuring it is fully backed by gold, silver, copper, and bronze reserves.
  2. Stability and Backing: Maintaining reserves of precious metals equal to the currency in circulation to prevent inflation and secure the currency’s value.
  3. Redemption Rights: Guaranteeing that holders can exchange their Fueria for its metal equivalent on demand, fostering trust and stability.
  4. Transparency: Conducting regular audits of reserves and publishing findings to ensure confidence in the monetary system.
  5. Enforcement: Protecting the currency against counterfeiting and unbacked issuance through stringent legal measures and oversight.
  6. Adaptability: Allowing for future inclusion of additional metals, with parliamentary approval, to ensure ongoing currency security and value.

These measures ensure the Fueria remains a reliable and stable medium of exchange, essential to Westoria's economy.

Director of The Imperial Treasury

The Director of The Imperial Treasury is the chief official responsible for overseeing all functions and powers of the Treasury. This position ensures the proper management and execution of the Treasury’s ordinances, financial policies, and national economic strategies, playing a crucial role in maintaining fiscal order and stability within the Imperial Federation of Westoria.
